While it was possible to catch an Alco leading a freight in the early 70's, it was quite extraordinary to find one on a TV train. Yet here's Penn Central Alco C425 2444 leading train TV9, one of PC's hottest, west at East Syracuse NY.

Some storm action tonight taken from Howard springs and a few stars to go with it. (Over Gunn Point/Cape Hotham area.)
Westbound train #TV-3 cruises over the Olentangy River on it's fast run through the Ohio countryside. Between Marion and Galion, the Erie and NYC operated their respective single track lines as a double track main. The Erie was the westbound main and north track, while the NYC was the eastbound main and south track. With the advent of Conrail, the line was single tracked with the former NYC/PC line kept through here.
Two eyes, two camera lenses. It ought to be self-evident. We used to have such two-lens cameras in the 1950 for example. I am not sure why they went out of fashion. Seeing in stereo is digitally possible though it would require not just new cameras but also new screens (TV and PC). I wonder when our visual technology will be "updated". Fuji X-E3 plus Helios 44M-7 at F5.6.
Veteran Conrail GP40 3003 leads TV202 along the Canisteo River and around the big curve at Saunders Road between Cameron Mills and Rathbone, NY on May 4, 1986. The 3003 is of ex PC & NYC heritage.
I happened upon this building front last Summer, with all the balconies and pot plants, etc, etc and then it became apparent the level of radiation, wi-fi soup and distracted people were amongst it all. In these absurd times that are becoming increasingly surreal by the day, as the Orwellian Nightmare unfolds before our blinded eyes, it's as if society suffers from Anton–Babinski syndrome, seeing but not aware of it!
This disturbs me greatly as much as it breaks my heart to see blind people who are deaf to the warnings fall into the hell pit and whose screams are drowned out by the smart phone, the TV, the PC brigade and the burgularisaton of our human rights day by day of the totalitarian tiptoe of the powers that should not be.
But hey, you won't know this, you're asleep!

This fabulous tv has been a dream come true. Literally if you can open it in chrome, you can stream it from your PC to this TV. Netflix/hulu/disney + - ANYTHING. When you pause it, it pauses for them...when you resume play, it resume for them in real time synchronized. Available here, and at an amazing price for what it does. There is no demo as of yet as she doesn't have an inworld store but if you want to see it in action feel free to contact me and I'll give you a demonstration. It's such a wonderful feeling to sit with a friend or loved one in world and watch a show/movie together! For me at least it really makes me feel connected.. :) - ChristinaNYC on SL :)

Conrail eastbound TV-22 is rolling past the MP 266 signals at Oak Harbor on a warm June 25, 1983. Former Penn Central GP-40 3177 was delivered with the White P, orange C logo, but was later repainted to all white PC and now patched to Conrail. After Conrail, it became KCS 4752 and later KCS 4780. Hey Mate!! I was at the Oakley Style Wars in Fallscreek Australia last week.. I had tons of Fun there! great parties at the Silver Ski Lodge with the whole Epic crew! I got to see my old friend PC from the Epic book.. runs in the gum trees, watch Travis’ movie.. I was hosting the contest for the web.. which was kind of funny.. I had tons of fun at the parties! we have seen some water spitting, beer fights,and even some wrestling at some point.. all in a fun party mood in the Aussie way. A that we improvised a trip to Torquay on the way down and went surfing, the water was freezing cold, but it was fun to catch a couple waves..
After the surfing, I joined the 2 Kristis ( Leskinen skier, and KT the Oakley marketing girl in Australia). We flew Sydney, ate some kanguru, did a couple PR stuff there with Alpha magazine and Sports Tonight Australia. I pet a koala and flew to New Zealand.. we spent the first day in Auckland for some more interviews for Sunrise (TV), Curl magazine, Sports Tonight NZ (TV), couple radio stations, and last but not least, we got on the Sports Cafe show hosted by some of the All Blacks (NZ national heroes).. they started asking us some tricky questions when a streaker jumped out of the public and shaked it right before my eyes on live national TV!! I was quite stoked to be there when that happened
anyways got to Queentsown the next day for the Oakley Chicks day out! which took place in Snowpark with another 50 girls.. the sun was shining and the park was super good, we shred together all day, i tryed to give them a couple tips, and we all rode back together to queenstown in a very loud busride. At night we all went for a bootie shake at the subculture bar where our friend RIA was DJing.. she killed it! she played tons of funk, which i love and we all danced all night.. and now I m tired and ready to go back to Euroland!

Penn Central for the most part put the maintenance base below the road number on their locomotives. A group of former New York Central GP40's were assigned to Beacon Park in Allston, just outside Boston, MA. So most of the van trains had GP40's assigned as seen here, and even into the early Conrail years GP40's and newer GP40-2's were regulars on the B&A!

Sadly - the operators decided to cease transmission from this studio, and indeed to cease tx at all! So it has now been sold off - and exists no more - ah well :) - I leave my original comments below - but clearly most of them now have no foundation.........
I built this studio (even the woodwork!) - and I programme music on the Internet 24/7/365 - a mix of oldish stuff which I like (Beats playing CDs!) and some recent stuff - No DJs - just back-to-back music with the sparodic jingle to help transitions..... (no Rap - and nothing to set your nerves on edge! - this is "ear candy" according to ME - god its good to be the programme boss!)
Tune in and let me have your comments - For PC you'll need Winamp - which you can get on the site. Mac users can listen using iTunes. All of this is done as part of TTV - a Luxembourg cable TV company - which I freelance for.
Best with Broadband - otherwise you could find the audio skips due to buffer problems - this is down to the fact that we send out a very high quality signal.
Once you have loaded the Sunshine Radio stream and it is playing via Winamp - you can continue to surf the net - Winamp will keep streaming the audio until you stop it.
I welcome proposals for the playlist - perhaps your choice will get aired - so make it a good one!

It took a Ctrl+R to get the NOTES to even show up on Chrome..
My tags also fail to auto-fill, you would think fl would come back with flower..
ALSO.. the tags, camera EXIF, and map are all on the LEFT side in Bing but on the RIGHT side in Chrome... Go Figure that!
BUT using Bing on my other PC, the map and tags are back on the right, same as Chrome....
On my iPad all the metadata are on the LEFT, no wonder I get lost some nights...

I noticed something yesterday. When I hook up my PC to a TV, the photos look a lot better when I lower the resolution to 1600x900, especially with b&w pics. The tones are smoother, the colors more neutral and the details less jagged. I wonder if it's the 1G video card's limited capability or is it normal for HD TV used as monitor to do that. Anyone else use their TV to view Flickr photos with their PC? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

A new photo of my of my Doll × Tilt-Shift photography using my Nikon D700, PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D ED lens and LEE 0.9 Neutral Density Standard filter. Two frames were combined together to get this wide picture.
